“My sisters and I stayed at the Z in August while adopting an infant. We could not have been more pleased with our visit…it was fantastic having two separate rooms, our own bath and kitchen facilities. The staff and owners were intelligent, kind and warm. They helped us with anything we needed. Being able to prepare our own food was a real bonus since we wanted to spend time bonding with the baby. We were also given breakfast each morning, which is such a convenience when you don't want to bundle everyone up and head out for food…Getting picked up at the airport was wonderful, too. Highly recommended!”

“We loved Z Guest House! …The family that owns the guest house are amazing and full of information. They all speak English so it is very easy to communicate. They go out of their way to accommodate you. There is a computer available with internet access. We would recommend it to others and would definitely go back again.”

“I've just spent a week at Z Guest House and was most impressed! Being picked up at the airport was most appreciated. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. My room had everything I needed and was thoroughly cleaned every day. The breakfast was delicious. Z Guest House is situated in a safe area and within walking distance of most of the main tourist attractions and numerous cafes and restaurants. It was great value and I would definitely stay there again.”

“The Z Guest house is a quiet and secure home to any traveler in busy and bustling Addis Ababa. With nice rooms, warm water, every day a different breakfast and a comparatively fast internet connection, the place is really good value for its price. The very best however is the kind and personal attendance by the owner family…To me the Z Guest House really was a “home away from home” which I will keep in good memory.”

“The Z Guest House graciously picked me up at the airport at 2 AM in the morning with a sign with my name on it. I found the family who runs the guest house to be incredibly caring and accommodating. There are some added perks of staying at the Z Guest House, one of them is the beautiful compound with well groomed flowers and lawn areas, another is that the household help is funny and always full of smiles…”

“This is a wonderful place, run by a very friendly family and I felt like being at home. If I compare what I had to pay for hotels I can highly recommend … this guesthouse instead. It was the perfect place for my extended stay in Addis. It is only a very short foot walk to Piazza, the rooms are comfortable and clean and whenever you need help or have a question there is somebody around to give you a helping hand. I had booked a couple of weeks in advance through internet and all my questions via email had been answered immediately. Everything was according to the descriptions I had been given in advance: very quiet neighborhood, beautiful garden, small but beautiful bedroom (I had booked single apartment) with brand new en-suite bathroom. I will definitely come again.”

“I liked the fact that it was owned by a local family. The family and the help were friendly and helpful. It is located relatively close to the University and the National Museum, and right down the street from the Armenian Sports Club, which has a nice restaurant. I would happily stay there again.”

“[Addis Ababa] is a hustling, bustling and wonderfully lively city but it is nice to be able to sink into a little oasis of peace and calm every night. That is what Z Guest house is. The owners are warm and friendly and very accommodating. It’s pretty much a case of “what ever you want, they will find a way to make it possible”. The Guest house itself has all the basic comforts, is very clean and neat and for the price, a really good deal. The nice little touches like internet access, hot water :) and breakfast every morning are an added bonus.”

“In September 2008 we visited z guest house. A home away from home. We were not treated as clients or guests, but as friends. Our hosts were very friendly and service oriented. Our transportation from the airport was arranged and we were welcomed with open arms. Our apartment was spacious and clean. Each morning breakfast was served in at a time most convenient to us. …z guest house can be recommended to anyone spending leisure or business time in Addis Ababa.”
